What did you want to be when you were 16?
A Pilot.

What did you end up doing when you left school?
Mechanical Engineering.

Describe a day in your life at work:
It can be quite varied depending on what it is that I need to achieve and/or attend to.

For example:
If its HR related, it could be working on spreadsheets, employment contracts, providing assistance & guidance with performance/behavioural issues, attending/supporting training courses & staff meetings, conducting incident investigations, attending and/or conducting interviews, attending/conducting disciplinary meetings, personnel development programmes, etc.

If its Commercial Operations related, it could be working on spreadsheets, business cases, business contracts, proposals, attending/conducting strategic meetings, attending/conducting business review meetings, strategic planning, business development, etc. 

Why do you love your job/career?
I work with a great bunch of fun & high-performing people / I get to travel (drive & fly) a lot / I get to contribute to the success & growth of the company / I get to work in the aviation industry

How did you get into your career?
There was a vacancy for an HR Manager at JNP Aviation.

What qualifications did you study?
All my management qualifications come from industry in-house training/courses. The highest formal qualification I have is 5th Form School Certificate. 

Do you have any advice for getting into your sector?
We are constantly looking for vibrant, well-mannered & presented young people who have a positive attitude.

What do you wish you had done differently?
Paid more attention & tried harder at secondary school.

What would you say to your teenage self about defining your future?
Think very carefully about what is really important to you/listen to & act on experienced wisdom.
